- You must submit all documents according to the guidelines in Hebrew or English only:
- A nursing work permit from your country of origin (if applicable).
- Official confirmation of employment as a nurse abroad, including the start and end dates of employment, your role, and employer details (if available).
- One of the following:
- - An Israeli matriculation certificate.
- An education credential equivalent to a matriculation certificate from the Israeli Ministry of Education.
- A photocopy of your Israeli ID card, including the appendix indicating citizen or resident status, or a passport with a valid Israeli work visa.
- A photocopy of your Returning Resident certificate (if relevant).
- A name change document (if your name has changed).
- Transcripts of nursing studies from all educational institutions.
- Detailed curriculum form: complete all the sections: subjects of study, theoretical and practical study hours, and details of clinical placement sites.
- Nursing graduation certificate (diploma).
Please note: Distance learning programs (online studies) will not be recognized.
Submitting documents from the educational institution
The following three documents must be sent directly from the educational institution to the Nursing Administration via the Healthcare Professionals Portal, without requiring a notarial certification:
- Academic transcripts.
- Detailed curriculum form.
- Nursing graduation certificate (diploma).
Translation and certification of documents
- Copies of original documents must be certified by a licensed notary in Israel via an electronic notary signature.
- Documents that are not in Hebrew or English must be translated by an authorized translator in Israel, and the translation must be certified by the licensed notary in Israel.
- The translated and verified document must be uploaded to the portal together with a copy of the original document.
- The notary may be selected from the Notary Registry authorized by the Ministry of Justice.
Important notes:
- Do not send original documents, submit only copies.
- Keep copies of all documents sent to the Ministry of Health.
- Submitted documents will not be returned, and no copies will be issued to the senders.
Please submit the documents according to the following guidelines:
- Initially, the university deans will submit the following details to the division's email address: hasmacha.hull@moh.gov.il
- IP address.
- Email address.
- Name and title.
After verification of the details, each dean will be granted access permission to submit documents through the Ministry of Health's digital vault. The documents to be submitted:
- Diploma.
- Academic transcripts (including details of courses, grades, and study hours).
- Detailed curriculum form
Please note: Transferring documents directly from the educational institution to the Nursing Administration eliminates the requirement for notarial certification.
- Further documents with an electronic notary signature must be uploaded only to the Healthcare Professionals Portal.
Upon completion of the submission, confirmation of receipt and transfer to "under review" status will be sent to you.
Uploading the documents in full is your responsibility.
Candidates without an Israeli ID card who hold a KAMAT (staff officer) employment authorization and wish to apply for nursing recognition must send all required documents by registered mail with a notarized certificate bearing a red ribbon, along with a copy of their ID, KAMAT authorization, phone number, and email address.
- The documents will be reviewed by the Ministry of Health's Nursing Administration.
- The compatibility of your training program with the curriculum and professional level required in Israel will be evaluated.
- A notification will be sent regarding the results of the review and the decision.
The duration of the process: Up to 45 working days (in accordance with the Service Charter).
If needed: A summons for a personal interview will be sent to you, or a request to submit additional documents.
