The Resgistration and Licensure Department in the Nursing Division is responsible for setting the required core training necessary for ensuring the quality of treatment provided by nurses, as well as for keeping and managing records of the persons who are licensed to practice nursing. Additionally, the Department is responsible for updating the study programs, accrediting nursing schools and nurse training institutions, setting control procedures and determining the professional status of internationally-educated nurses.
The Department takes prompt action in order to bring the nursing array to the training scope that will meet the Ministry of Health's policies and the standards for OECD countries, all the while ensuring the high quality of the students and the training programs and maintaining ongoing collaboration with government ministries and other public agencies.
