New immigrants who are recognized by the Nursing Division as registered nurses educated abroad will receive a notice confirming their eligibility to take the State Nursing Licensure Examination.
Important information
- Registration for the examination is completed through the Healthcare Professions Portal during the published registration periods.
- The examination is available in 6 languages: Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, and Spanish.
- You may register each year for one of the adaptive examination dates held in April, June, and September.
- New immigrants with more than 3 years of nursing experience abroad may also register for the alternative examination offered each November, subject to valid eligibility to test.
- To secure your place for a specific examination date, you must comply with all registration requirements and complete all steps on time. If the registration process is not fully completed by the deadline, you will not be able to take the examination on your selected date.
Candidates without an Israeli ID number (for example, passport holders) cannot access services through the personal portal. Contact the Department of Nursing Licensure Exams by email at siud.test@moh.gov.il or the Ministry of Health Hotline at *5400 for instructions.
Registration Process for the Spring 2026 Examination
Internationally Educated Nurses who wish to take the State Nursing Licensure Examination for registered nurses during the Spring 2026 examination period (April 26–29, 2026) must complete 2 steps before the examination date. Each step depends on completing the previous step.
Steps:
- Application submission: The deadline to submit all required documents to the Nursing Division for eligibility review and professional recognition as a nurse educated abroad is January 29, 2026. Applications or documents received after this date will be processed according to the service standard.
- Examination registration: Registration must be completed by March 30, 2026.
Appeals
The appeal date following the licensure examination is June 23, 2026.
Only candidates who receive a score of 58 or 59 may register for an appeal. Appeals may be submitted within 2 weeks from the score publication date. The appeal process follows the State Nursing Licensure Examination appeal procedure.
Registration Process for the Summer 2026 Examination
Internationally Educated Nurses who wish to take the State Nursing Licensure Examination for registered nurses on June 21, 2026, must complete 2 steps before the examination date. Each step depends on completing the previous step.
Steps:
- Application submission: The deadline to submit all required documents to the Nursing Division for eligibility review and professional recognition as a nurse educated abroad is April 21, 2026. Applications or documents received after this date will be processed according to the service standard.
- Examination registration: Registration must be completed by May 21, 2026.
Appeals
The appeal date following the licensure examination is July 30, 2026.

Registration Process for the Fall 2026 Examination
Internationally Educated Nurses who wish to take the State Nursing Licensure Examination for registered nurses during the Fall 2026 examination period (September 6–10, 2026) must complete 2 steps before the examination date. Each step depends on completing the previous step.

- Application submission: The deadline to submit all required documents to the Nursing Division for eligibility review and professional recognition as a nurse educated abroad is June 6, 2026. Applications or documents received after this date will be processed according to the service standard.
- Examination registration: Registration must be completed by August 6, 2026.
Appeals
The appeal date following the licensure examination is November 19, 2026.

Registration Process for the Fall 2026 Alternative Examination
Internationally Educated Nurses who wish to take the State Nursing Licensure Examination for registered nurses on November 18, 2026, must complete 2 steps before the examination date. Each step depends on completing the previous step.
Steps:
- Application submission: The deadline to submit all required documents to the Nursing Division for eligibility review and professional recognition as a nurse educated abroad is September 18, 2026. Applications or documents received after this date will be processed according to the service standard.
- Examination registration: Registration must be completed by October 18, 2026.
Register to Retake an Examination
When registering for a retake examination, no additional declarations are required. Candidates are responsible for updating the Nursing Division regarding any changes in their health status or criminal record. More information about registration for a retake licensure examination.
Registration Through the Healthcare Professions Portal
If this is your first examination, follow these instructions:
- Sign up to the portal: The first time you access the portal, you must replace the temporary password with a permanent personal password. Your username and password will be used for all future logins.
- You are responsible for updating the Nursing Division if your contact information changes by contacting the Ministry of Health Hotline at *5400.
- If you do not have a mobile phone that can receive text messages (SMS), you may provide the mobile number of a family member or another close contact who can receive SMS updates for registrating, examination scheduling, and score reporting.
- For technical support, contact the Ministry of Health Hotline at *5400.
- Health declaration and statement of no criminal record: You must complete and digitally sign an online declaration. Completing the declaration is required to register for the examination. Note: The Nursing Division receives information from the Israeli Police regarding criminal records.
- Payment: Before registering for the examination, you must pay the licensure examination fee.
- Payment must be made through the Postal Bank or by bank transfer to the Ministry of Health account: Postal Bank, Jerusalem Branch 001, Account Number 0-025961.
- After payment, scan or photograph the proof of payment and keep it for upload to the portal.
Please note: Payment should only be made after receiving the examination notice. Without the norice, you cannot take the examination, even if payment has been completed.
- Examination registration: You must complete examination registration through the portal no later than 1 month before the examination date. After that date, portal registration will be unavailable.
- During registration, you must choose the examination date and examination language (Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish).
- Carefully review your selected language, as it cannot be changed after registration is completed.
- To complete registration, upload your proof of payment.
- If you are eligible for extra testing time, upload the relevant documents during registration.
- After registration is completed, you will receive an SMS confirmation from the Nursing Division.
- Request for extra testing time: New immigrants who have been in Israel for less than 5 years automatically receive extra testing time according to Nursing Division policy and do not need to submit a request. Confirmation of extra testing time will appear in the examination notice.
- Licensure examination notice: You must bring your examination notice with you on the examination day.
- The examination notice will be available in the portal 2 weeks before the examination date.
- The notice includes examination details such as the location, date, time, candidate identification number, testing hall number, and extra testing time confirmation (if applicable). You must print the notice and bring it with you to the examination.
