Have you finished nursing studies abroad and wish to practice nursing in Israel? After passing the Israel Nursing Board licensure examination, action must be taken to secure a nursing practice permit.
Temporary residents are eligible for a temporary permit after passing the Israel Nursing Board licensure examination and after proving Hebrew proficiency.
Until receiving citizenship in the State of Israel, it is possible to work with a temporary permit (which will be extended from time to time) subject to the validity of their residence visa in Israel.
Toward the end of the period of the residence visa, you can send a request to the Nursing Administration's Licensing Department by email to extend the temporary permit and enclose a photocopy of your ID and a valid residence visa. The extension is subject to a fee.
Upon receipt of Israeli citizenship, you can send a request for a permanent certificate and enclose a photocopy of your ID. The request must be sent to the Nursing Administration by email to: hasmacha.hull@moh.gov.il
Temporary residents may obtain a permanent certificate to practice nursing only after their status as Israeli citizens has been established.
Here are the conditions for obtaining a permanent certificate to practice nursing:
The fee for the permanent certificate is paid during the registration for the examination.
