
If you studied nursing abroad, you can register as a licensed nurse and work in Israel only after your professional status is recognized by the Ministry of Health Nursing Division and after you pass the State Nursing Board Licensure Examination.
If you worked as a clinical nurse specialist abroad, you may request recognition of your specialization from the Nursing Division, as long as it is a recognized specialty in Israel and you are registered in the Nursing Licensure Registry as a licensed nurse.
To receive recognition, you must meet the requirements and submit the required documents listed on the website.
International nursing graduates can take the State Nursing Board Licensure Examination in Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish. You must choose your exam language during registration, and it cannot be changed later.
If you choose a language other than Hebrew, you must submit proof of Hebrew proficiency as a requirement for registration in the Nursing Licensure Registry as a licensed nurse.
You must provide proof of Hebrew proficiency to be registered in the Nursing Licensure Registry in Israel. Without it, you cannot receive a permanent license or practice nursing in Israel. Proof must be submitted within 3 years of the licensure exam.
