You cannot proceed to the next step unless each step is completed by the specified deadline.
Application submission: The deadline for submitting all required documents and/or completing any missing documentation with the Nursing Division for eligibility review and recognition of your professional nursing status (graduates of foreign nursing programs) is September 17, 2026.
Any requests or documents received after this date will be processed in accordance with the service charter.
Government licensing examination registration: Eligible applicants must complete registration by November 17, 2026.
Appeals: The appeal date following the licensing examination will be announced for eligible candidates. Only candidates who receive a score of 58 or 59 may submit an appeal. Appeals must be submitted within two weeks of the publication of exam results. The appeal process follows the government licensing examination appeal procedure.
Important information:
Registration for the exam is completed through the Medical Professions Portal during the published registration periods. You may take the exam in one of six available languages: Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish. To secure your place in a specific exam session, you must register on time, meet all eligibility requirements, and complete every step of the registration process. If all registration steps are not completed by the deadline, you will not be able to take the exam on your selected date.
Applicants who do not have an Israeli ID number (for example, passport holders) cannot use the personal portal. In this case, contact the Licensing Examinations Department by email at siud.test@moh.gov.il or the Ministry of Health hotline (*5400) for registration instructions.
December 2026 exam registration process
If you completed your nursing education outside Israel and wish to take the government licensing examination for practical nurses on December 17, 2026, you must complete all registration steps before the exam date. Each step depends on completing the previous one.
The steps are:
- Submit your application: The deadline for submitting all required documents to the Nursing Division for eligibility review and recognition of your professional nursing status (graduates of foreign nursing programs) is September 17, 2026.

- Register for the exam: Complete your registration by November 17, 2026.
Appeals

Registering through the Medical Professions Portal
- Sign in to the portal: The first time you sign in, you must replace your temporary password with a permanent personal password. Your username and password will be used for all future logins.
- You are responsible for notifying the Nursing Division of any changes to your contact information by calling the Ministry of Health hotline at *5400.
- If you do not have a mobile phone that can receive SMS messages, you may provide the mobile number of a family member or another trusted person who can receive SMS messages for you throughout the registration process, exam invitation, and exam results.
- For any technical issues, contact the Ministry of Health hotline (*5400).
- Health declaration and declaration of no criminal record: You must complete and digitally sign the online declaration. Completing the declaration is required for exam registration. Good to know: The Nursing Division requests information from the Israel Police to verify that you have no criminal record.
- Payment: Before registering for the exam, you must pay the exam processing fee. Payment must be made through the Postal Bank or by bank transfer to the Ministry of Health account: Postal Bank, Branch 001 Jerusalem, Account No. 0-025961. After payment, scan or photograph your payment confirmation and save it for uploading during the online registration process.
Please note: Make your payment only after you receive confirmation that you are eligible to take the exam. Without eligibility approval, you will not be allowed to take the exam, even if payment has been made.
- Register for the exam: Complete your registration through the portal no later than one month before the exam date. After that, registration will close.
- During registration, select your exam date and exam language (Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish).
- Make sure you choose the correct language, as it cannot be changed afterward.
- To complete your registration, upload your payment confirmation as proof of payment.
- If you are eligible for extra time, upload the relevant supporting documents during registration.
- After completing registration, you will receive an SMS confirmation from the Nursing Division.
- Requesting extra time: New immigrants who have been in Israel for less than 5 years automatically receive extra time under the Nursing Division's extra time policy and do not need to submit a request. Your exam invitation letter will include confirmation of your extra time accommodation.
- Exam invitation letter: You must bring your exam invitation letter with you on the day of the exam.
- The invitation letter will be available through the portal two weeks before the exam date.
- It includes your exam details, including the location, date, time, candidate number, exam hall, and confirmation of extra time (if applicable). Print the letter and bring it with you to the exam.
