After receiving a recognition approval from the Nursing Administration regarding your professional status as internationally educated practical nurses, you will be notified about your eligibility to take the State Nursing Board Licensure Examination.
Please note:
- The enrollment for the examination is performed via the healthcare professions portal during the published dates.
- The examination may be taken in one of the six available languages: Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French or Spanish.
- In order to secure your place in the governmental licensure examination on a certain date, you have to enroll while ensuring compliance with all the conditions and performing the process stages on time. If all enrollment stages are not completed on time, it will not be possible to take the examination on the chosen date.
Applicants who are not holding an Israeli ID (such as passport holders) cannot receive service via the personal portal. In this case, contact the licensing exams department at siud.test@moh.gov.il or the Call Habriut call center (*5400) in order to receive the instructions for enrollment.
Enrollment procedure for the December 2026 examination
If you graduated from nursing studies abroad and wish to take the governmental examination for the status of practical nurse on 17.12.2026, you must complete all registration processes by the examination date, with each stage conditional upon the completion of the preceding stage.
These are the stages:
- Submitting the application: The deadline for submitting all the required documents to the Nursing Administration for checking eligibility for recognition of professional status in nursing care (internationally educated nursing graduates) is 17.9.2026. Any document application/request after this date will be handled in accordance with the service covenant.
- Examination enrollment: Up to November 17, 2026.
Appeals
Only examinees who received a grade of 58-59 only are eligible for filing an appeal. It is possible to file for an appeal up to two weeks from the day of publication of grades. The appeal procedure is held in accordance with the Appeal Procedure for State Board Licensure examinations.
Enrollment for the examination via the Healthcare Professions Portal
If this is your first time taking the examination, you should act according to the following instructions:
- Portal entry: On the first portal entry, the temporary password is to be replaced with a permanent personal password. The username and password are to be used for any future entry to the portal.
- It is the applicant's responsibility to keep the Nursing Administration updated in case of a contact information change by contacting the Kol Habriut call center (*5400).
- Owners of a mobile phone who are not able to receive text messages (SMS) are requested to provide a mobile telephone number of a close person able to receive the text messages on their behalf throughout the enrollment process, the exam invitation and receiving the grades.
- For any technical problem, contact the "Call Habriut" call center (*5400).
- Health declaration and lack of criminal record: You must sign an online declaration with a digital signature. Fulfilling the declaration is a precondition to enrollment for the examination. Good to know: The Nursing Administration contacts the Israeli Police in order to obtain information regarding lack of criminal record.
- Payment: Before registration to the examination, payment should be made for the licensure examination fee.
- Payment is to be made using the Postal Bank or via a wire transfer to the Ministry of Health account. The account details: The Postal Bank, Branch No. 001, Jerusalem, Account No. 0-025961.
- After payment, scan or photocopy the confirmation (proof of payment) and keep it for the purpose of exam enrollment in the portal.
Please note: Do not pay if you have not received a confirmation for eligibility to take the examination. Without this confirmation, you will not be able to take the examination, regardless of the payment.
- Enrollment for the examination: The examination enrollment via the portal must be completed up to a month prior to the exam's date. The portal closes for enrollments afterwards.
- During enrollment, the exam's date and language are to be selected (Hebrew, Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish).
- The language is to be carefully selected – once set, the language cannot be changed.
- In order to finalize enrollment, upload the payment confirmation file as proof of payment.
- Those eligible for extra testing time should upload the relevant documents during enrollment.
- Once the enrollment is concluded, a text message (SMS) informing of the enrollment process conclusion will be sent from the Nursing Administration.
- Examination invitation letter: The invitation letter is to be brought to the examination.
- Producing the examination invitation letter will be possible in the portal two weeks prior to the examination date.
- This letter contains information pertaining to the examination specifications: locations, date and time of the examination, examinee number, name of the hall and the time extension, if there is one. The invitation letter is to be printed-out and brought to the exam.
