This Department is responsible for manpower planning and placement, with a view to leading a policy for planning nursing manpower and establishing infrastructures for nurses in their positions.
About the Department for Manpower Regulation
The Department for Manpower Regulation in the Nursing Division is responsible for planning and managing manpower according to the healthcare system's present and future needs, for the actual placement of manpower, for identifying gaps in manpower infrastructures – and also to close these gaps.
The Department's goal is to lead policy for planning nursing manpower resources in the healthcare system and to establish developed infrastructures for the placement of nurses in their positions in a manner that meets the healthcare system's needs and promotes quality and professionalism.

Roles of the Department for Manpower Regulation
- Creating a policy for the development of clinical and administrative career tracks in the healthcare system.
- Developing tracks for excellence for reinforcing leadership in nursing.
- Determining nurses' roles in the healthcare system and updating them from time to time.
- Identifying system-wide failings in the employment of nurses in the healthcare system.
- Drafting plans for providing nurses with suitable employment conditions in the healthcare system.
- Developing new positions in nursing, according to expected developments and demand for healthcare services.
- Developing and managing information systems for the subject of nursing manpower.
- Planning and executing actions for recruiting and preserving manpower in nursing, according to the healthcare system's needs.
- Pricing and budgeting of nursing programs.
- Setting and announcing the tuition in the various nursing programs.
- Managing the subject of scholarships and loans for nursing students and nurses in continuing education programs.
- Coordinating the activities of the Committee for Continuing Education Funds in Nursing
