Itay, from the moshav of Aderet, a reservist in the Maglan unit, left home on Saturday, October 7, and joined his unit to fight at the Gaza Envelope. After four days, they headed toward Zikim, where they were ambushed by terrorists, and he fell in battle.
His mother says Itay was a child with joy. On the morning he was killed, Itay wrote in his status, "A glorious failure is better than dreams in a drawer".
Itay dreamed of being accepted to the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit. He leaves behind his parents and three siblings.
