The advanced course in fertility is designed to prepare nurses to the field of fertility and IVF
The advanced course in fertility is designed to prepare nurses to the field of fertility and IVF, while imparting knowledge and clinical and interpersonal skills that enable professional functioning skills and providing healthcare to the woman/couple during their efforts to conceive and throughout the treatment period.
The advanced course consists of frontal lectures, practice, simulations, and clinical practice. The course syllabus includes clinical topics on the health of women during reproductive years, as well as special clinical conditions, such as Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome, multiple pregnancy, surrogacy, egg donation, fertility preservation, etc.
As part of the clinical practice the students will obtain assessment, identification, and general healthcare skills and competencies.
Curriculum
319 hours of theoretical studies
Clinical practice
- 264 hours for nurses with no prior experience in the fertility field
- 160 hours for an IVF nurse with at least 2 years of experience in a full-time job, or equivalent.

Prerequisites for admission to the program
- You are a citizen or a resident of Israel
- You have a registered nurse licensure certificate Israel
- You have a bachelor’s degree recognized in Israel
- You have passed the selection exam for the advanced nursing courses with a grade of 70 or higher, and the grade is valid (3 calendar years from the exam date), or you are eligible for an exemption from the selection exam
