Activity at the International Cooperation Center for Leadership and Governance in Nursing
Dr. Shoshi Goldberg, the National Head Nurse and head of the Nursing Division, and the Nursing Division team presented this week the activities of the Division to empower nurses at the international conferences and the World Health Organization.
About 10,000 nurses from around the world and directors of about 200 Centers for International Collaboration of the World Health Organization participate in these conferences.
Dr. Shoshi Goldberg presented at the international conference of the ICN the model for policy leadership in nursing at the national level in the era of advanced infrastructures, in the lecture, Dr. Goldberg described the political and organizational influence of the model on the planning and implementation of policies leading to a promotion of public health. Also presented was the dedicated computerized platform developed by the Nursing Division that contains national information on the pandemic.

Dr. Shirley Luz, Director of the Nursing Division Resgistration and Licensure Department, presented at the ICN international conference the third article from her doctoral thesis on the subject: the relationship between the characteristics and structure of the social ego network of champion nurses and their success in leading innovation in the aspect of distribution. In the lecture, Dr. Luz explained the research method, background on innovation among nurses, background on social networks and main findings related to the structure and composition of the professional network of champion nurses who initiated or led innovation.

Dr. Rivka Hazan Hazoref, Director of the Department of Licensure Examinations in the Nursing Division, presented at the conference of the World Health Organization's Collaboration Centers the annual activity of the center in the Nursing Division for International Collaboration for leadership and governance in nursing. Dr. Hazan Hazoref presented in the lecture, the series of international webinars that were broadcast in the field of managers and leaders in the health system leading and dealing with the Covid epidemic.
At the conference of the Centers for International Collaboration of the World Health Organization, a poster describing the activities of the Nursing Division at the international level; a dedicated website of the established center, the collaborations with leadership in nursing to plan strategic program for the empowerment of the nursing workforce of the main headquarters in the World Health Organization, a series of studies published on topics such as resilience of nurses who worked in hospitals during the Covid epidemic, leading policies for regulation and professional standards for treatment of patients connected to ECMO devices.
