How to request to get tested in a language other than Hebrew, and how to prove knowledge of Hebrew to get a license
As an internationally educated nurse, you can take the Israel Nursing Board Licensure Examination in one of the following languages: Arabic, English, Russian, French, or Spanish
In line with the Public Health Protection Regulations (Hebrew), if you would like the examination to be in a language that is not Hebrew, you will have to prove you demonstrate your proficiency with the Hebrew language later on; this is a prerequisite to be listed on the ”Nursing Licensure Registry” (Hebrew) and to get a temporary license.
Please note that you can receive a license to practice nursing only after proving you have basic knowledge of the Hebrew language, even if you pass the Israel Nursing Board Licensure Examination.
You have to submit a proof Hebrew language proficiency within three years from the date you took the Israel Nursing Board Licensure Examination. If you fail to submit a proof within the specified time, you will be required to retake the Israel Nursing Board Licensure Examination.
Send the proof of Hebrew language proficiency via the Healthcare Professionals Portal.
