Ela Program - Leadership in the healthcare system in Israel
Ela Program - Leadership in the healthcare system in Israel

As part of the Ministry of Health’s commitment to empowering and professionalizing senior leadership in the healthcare system, a new nursing specialty has been established—Health Policy and Administration.
Nurses specializing in Health Policy and Administration hold senior management positions in various healthcare organizations. They play a key role in shaping health policy and leading system-wide change. These specialists form a leadership and management backbone with a broad understanding of health policy and its impact on the Israeli healthcare system.
The program aims to develop a high-level leadership cohort that influences and drives the advancement of Israel’s healthcare system.
It trains participants to take on senior management roles in healthcare organizations, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to lead complex missions and manage resources strategically.
The program fosters a collaborative network to expand spheres of influence, deepen system-wide impact, and connect leaders across the broader healthcare ecosystem.
