Fell in battle with terrorists in the south
Yehonatan, brother of Tsroya Manchovsky, a midwife at Laniado Hospital and of Achinoam Ratzabi, a nursing student, and husband of Reshit Tzor, a physical therapist at Laniado Hospital.
Lt. Colonel Yehonatan Binyamin Tzor, commander in the Nahal Brigade, fell in battle with terrorists in the south.
Tsroya eulogized him with the following words:
"My older, good brother Yehonatan.
'How heroes fell and weapons of war were lost', what a loss for the entire nation, for the army and the soldiers who admired you. Lieutenant colonel, reconnaissance unit commander, a human being - that's what you were to the outside world.
For us, you were simply Yehonatan. Big brother, funny, joker, the one who sees the end purpose and never gives up, the star of the show everywhere.
The brother who took care of us in better and worse times, who knew how to enjoy life, travel, eat well and make us all feel at home. A brother who died just as he lived, without fear and without looking back.
I grieve for you my brother Yehonatan.
I hope that you are up there turning things around and looking out for the nation and country that you so loved, praying for our great victory that will be seen around the world, and to God.
Love, your sister Tsroya."
May he rest in peace.
