Gila was a community nurse in the southern district of Clalit Health Services. She began her professional career at Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, moved to the kibbutz of Ruhama, where she worked as the kibbutz nurse. She later settled in Kfar Aza, where she worked as the kibbutz nurse. In her last position, Gila set up and managed outpatient services at the Ashkelon Consulting Medical Center.

Gila served as a role model in her devotion and commitment to her staff and to her patients, who deeply admired her.
Her son Daniel, a paramedic, dreamed of studying medicine.
