Gila served as the Head Nurse of the Day Hospital at the Consultative Medicine Center in Ashkelon, within the Southern District of Clalit Health Services. She began her professional career at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon before transitioning to Kibbutz Ruhama, where she worked as the kibbutz nurse. Gila later moved to Kibbutz Kfar Azza, continuing her role as a kibbutz nurse.

Gila was a role model, esteemed for her dedication and commitment to both her colleagues and patients, earning their profound respect.
Her son, Daniel, was a paramedic who also aspired to study medicine.
