Michaela Koretsky is a midwife at Soroka Medical Center.
In addition to her work as a midwife, Michaela is a nurse in the kibbutz of Alumim.

During the horrific morning of 7.10.23 in Alumim, Michaela’s home became a field hospital. She treated three wounded persons using anything that was within reach, including hanging IVs with a telephone cable. Once equipment ran out, she ran to bring the first aid bags, bandages and IV bags.

While treating the wounded, her children were in the shelter. Before she met them, Michaela cleaned the blood stains on her clothes so that her children would not see them. Later, her husband helped her evacuate the wounded to a safe facility.
