The advanced course in oncology is a part of a cooperative acute chronic module, together with advanced nursing courses in Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology.

The advanced nursing course in oncology is focused on prevalent oncological and haemato-oncological diseases in adults and children, palliative care, and coping of patients, families, and healthcare providers, with a terminal illness.
Clinical practice is conducted in four tracks adapted to the students’ clinical experience in the field of oncology, so that they can practice a variety of procedures in this field.
The curriculum includes 497 hours, of which:
337 hours of theoretical study
160 hours of clinical practice

After meeting the studies requirements and completion of studies, and for the purpose of being registered as an advanced nursing course graduate, you must successfully pass the licensure exam. The exam content and structure change from course to course and are adapted to the field and knowledge acquired.
In this course you will take the licensure exam in a simulation-based method.
The simulation licensure exams include clinically representative conditions, which visualize reality, and to handle them one should make use of the knowledge and psychomotor and communication skills acquired in the course. The exam passing grade is 60.
The exam includes switching between different stations (simulations), determined according to the characteristics of the field of training you have studied.

The licensure simulation exams for the advanced nursing courses are held in MSR – the Israel Center for Medical Simulation – the National Education Center for Health Professions, the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.
