Psychiatry nurse practitioner administer medical care to patients who turn to mental health clinics in the community or to mental health wards in a hospital setting. Among other things, they administer medical care in acute situations and will balance chronic patients in the field of mental health, prevent illness and promote health and provide guidance and counseling to patients and their families.
Main activity of psychiatry nurse practitioner:
• Checking the patient and assessing their situation.
• Referring the patients to diagnostic tests and to counselors for purposes of continued investigation or treatment.
• Determining the medical treatment and administering therapeutic instructions.
• Balancing the medication regimen.
• Balancing the symptoms.
• Coordinating the treatment, coordination with therapeutic settings, providing guidance and counseling for patients and their family members.
• Promoting health and preventing illness.
