Bachelor's degree program in nursing for national-civic service volunteers, along with a registered nurse certificate
For the first time: national civic volunteers can begin studying for their bachelor's degree in nursing and certification while serving.
As part of the program involving the Ministry of Health, the Authority for National-Civic Service, the Hibur Hadash (New Connection) Association, and Sheba Medical Center, participants will have the opportunity to begin studying for a bachelor's degree in nursing and obtain a registered nurse certificate at Tel Aviv University. This allows them to acquire a valuable profession while serving in national-civic service.
The national-civic service year plus 3.5 years of study leads to a bachelor's degree.
The second year of national-civic service will be integrated into the course of study. After a total of 4.5 years, which includes the national-civic service period, and upon passing the government licensure exam, students will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a license certificate as a registered nurse (RN), granting them full eligibility to complete the national-civic service.
Following this period, and upon completion of their studies and successful passage of the licensure exam, students will be able to work as registered nurses in hospitals, community settings, healthcare bureaus, and more.
The studies will be conducted at the Tel Aviv University campus as part of the general undergraduate program in Nursing Sciences. Clinical studies will take place at the Ziva Tal Academic School of Nursing at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Ramat Gan.
National-civic service volunteers will study alongside students from the general undergraduate program in the Department of Nursing Sciences.
Acquisition of a desired profession during national-civic service, facilitating integration as professionals after the service period.
Housing Support: Opportunity for housing provided by national-civic service near the place of study.
Tuition Assistance: Potential for receiving a scholarship or loan from the Ministry of Health (subject to approval).
You can apply for admission to studies after completing the first year of service, provided you meet the admission requirements of the department and the university.
