First Sergeant Major Tamir Adar, the Deputy Commander of the Community Security Force and a member of the Emergency Response Team at Kibbutz Nir Oz, was killed in action on October 7, 2023, at the age of 38. Tamir was an educator and had a deep passion for farming. He is survived by his wife, two children, parents, and three siblings.

On October 23, 2023, Tamir’s remains were returned from Gaza, and he was laid to rest in Kibbutz Nir Oz, a place he cherished most.
