On October 7, 2023, Reut joined a field hospital established in the local synagogue in her town, where she treated many wounded and saved lives, including friends and acquaintances.

"It is extremely difficult and yet also most satisfying to take care of friends in such circumstances, especially when they are so badly injured", Kellerman says.

When medical equipment started to running out, Kellerman grabbed a helmet and headed to one of the Maccabi clinics where she works and brought back IV fluids, tourniquets, pain relievers, gauzes and other things to the field hospital.
