The purpose of the advanced midwifery course program is to train for the profession of midwifery by imparting knowledge, clinical skills and interpersonal skills, the course program will allow you to provide professional care to every woman, starting from the pregnancy planning stage, through the course of delivery and up to the postpartum period.
The advanced course consists of lectures, practical workshops, simulations and clinical experiences in the delivery room and the community.
The study program includes 993 study hours, of which:
357 theoretical study hours
636 clinical experience hours

After graduation and in order to register an advanced course graduate in the nursing register you must successfully pass the State Nursing Board Licensure Examination.
The content and the structure of the exam vary from course to course and are adapted to the field and knowledge acquired in them.
The licensure examination in midwifery consists of two stages:
The licensing exams in simulation for advanced courses are held at "Messer" – the National Center for Medical Simulation- the National Training Building for Health Workers at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.
