The course will provide knowledge and tools in infection prevention: exposure to epidemiological coverage and monitoring, epidemiological investigations, locating patients at risk of infection.
This advanced course is designed to impart knowledge and tools in the field of infection prevention. Among the topics you will learn: exposure to epidemiological coverage and monitoring, epidemiological investigations, locating patients who pose a risk of infecting others, types of isolation, employee training, development of infection prevention guidelines, and more.
The clinical experience is carried out in the hospital's infection prevention unit and other relevant sites.
Curriculum
The study program includes 386 study hours, of which:
290 theoretical study hours
96 clinical experience hours
Prerequisite for applying to the program
- You are citizens or residents of Israel.
- You have certified nurse license in the State of Israel.
- You have a bachelor's degree in nursing.
An accredited degree in nursing is a degree accredited by interinstitutional committee at the Salary and Employment Agreements Department at the Ministry of Finance. The list of degrees is updated from time to time in the circular: "Academic degrees accredited for salary purposes in the civil service, Clalit Health Services and Hadassah Medical Center and Shaare Zedek Medical Center - nursing" (Hebrew). - You have passed the selection examination for the advanced courses in nursing with a score of 70 or higher and the score is valid (3 calendar years from the date of the exam) or if you are entitled to an exemption from a selection examination.
