Assessment, treatment, and complication prevention of diabetes
The advanced course in diabetes is part of a common chronic module, together with the advanced courses in primary care, rehabilitation and wound and stoma.

This advanced course is focused on epidemiology, pathophysiology, and the administrative and economic aspects of diabetes. The course will provide you with clinical skills for evaluation, diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment of diabetes in children and adults, as well as complication prevention and patient guidance.
During the clinical practice you will focus on taking clinical decisions when treating patients suffering from diabetes, and developing programs for intervention and guidance, in cooperation with a multidisciplinary team.
