The Nursing Division has compiled for you all of the information you need on the state licensure examination for registered nurses: how to enroll to the examination, what the content and the format of the examination are, important information on the actual day of the examination, mandatory bibliography for the exam, and more.
If you have been graduated from nursing studies in Israel, the educational institution will forward your transcripts to the Ministry of Health upon your graduation. Your transcript and overall score will be validated and a text message (SMS) will be sent to you to inform you whether you are eligible to enroll to the state licensure examination. The Nursing Division will also create a username and an initial password to log in to the Healthcare Professionals Portal, so that you can enroll to the examination. If you have been graduated in nursing studies outside of Israel, your transcripts will be reviewed and validated; if you meet the eligibility criteria, you will have to enroll to take the examination following the guidelines on this webpage: Israel Nursing Licensure for Internationally Educated Nurses
To be allowed to sit for the state licensure examination, you need to submit a licensure examination notice, which is an authorization to test. Take it with you to the examination. You can have the notice issued about two weeks before the actual day of examination. The notice confirms your enrollment to the examination, provides information on examination day, has your candidate identification number, and it says whether you are eligible for extra testing time.
The scores are released within 30 business days from examination day. A text message (SMS) will be sent to you notifying you that the scores have been released. The scores will be posted on the Healthcare Professionals Portal and will be forwarded to you in the text message (SMS), too.
No, we do not. You need to generate a transcript of your score via the Healthcare Professionals Portal. If your score is not posted on the Healthcare Professionals Portal after you have been examined, fill out a form requesting the Department of Nursing Licensure Exams to email you a transcript of your score.
