What Brought You to Nursing?

I started my journey as a trainee in the "Pisga" Reserve Route, one of my best decisions so far, the choice to go study nursing stemmed from a desire to work with people and help them.

Over the years I have had many encounters with interesting patients. The therapeutic relationship I remember best is the case of a female soldier I encountered in my first position at the 460th Brigade clinic in Shizaphon, and my treatment of her continued throughout my service in this clinic, Initially the soldier came to me with a story of diarrhea and abdominal pain that lasted for several months.

I helped her make all the appointments she needed, every time. When I finished my position at the clinic, it was discovered that she had

Crohn's. After I moved to my current position, I scheduled her last appointment with the medical board – which released her from the IDF.

The choice to study nursing stemmed from a desire to work with people and help them.

One of my achievements is a study that I carried out with the Divisional Medical Officer on the use of CAT by new recruits. In the study we tested the knowledge and abilities of the new recruits in using CAT immediately after they were trained in its use. In the study it was found that even after the training they received, they do not know how to use the Cat at its best. I believe the results of my research will lead to a better application of the subject.

Where Are You Today?

I graduated in 2016 and have been in the service for 3 years. I enjoy my profession, always see the glass full and feel great satisfaction from the service.
