I realize I have found my professional mission
I realize I have found my professional mission
As a young nurse in St. Petersburg, I accidentally arrived at a clinic, which treated diabetes, among other things. When I immigrated to Israel, I already knew in which field I wanted to specialize.
The year is 1996, St. Petersburg, and I am a young nurse looking for a job. Accidentally, I arrived at a clinic where they were looking for a nurse, who would work, among other things, in the School of Diabetes. In preparation for my work, I took an annual course where the best doctors in the field taught. This was how my professional connection to the world of diabetes began.
I was accepted to the Master's degree in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with the understanding that I had to complete my second degree before starting my expertise studies. After six months of studies, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I escorted her during her illness to numerous treatments and going into surgery. The load was very heavy. Fortunately, my mother finished her treatments.
I am a nurse studying in the second class of Diabetes Nurse Practitioner studies and working at the Diabetes Institute of Kupat Holim Meuhedet.
Since the beginning of my path as a diabetes nurse I have heard many of my patients say, "You have saved my life", "Thanks to you my life has changed", "Since you treated me, I am a lot healthier".
This is my joy, as well as the understanding that I have found my mission.
