Last stage before receiving nurse practitioner status
Last stage before receiving nurse practitioner status

To begin working as a nurse practitioner, you must take the State Nursing Board Licensure Examination and register as a nurse practitioner in the Nursing Licensure Registry, in accordance with the Public Health Protection Regulations (Nurse Practitioner Certificate Approval), 2013.
The exam will take place after completion of studies, according to the exam schedule published on the Nursing Division website. The exam will be conducted in Hebrew. Interns who have met all syllabus requirements are eligible to take the exam.
The exam consists of two parts: a written exam and an oral exam.
The exam comprises multiple-choice questions based on the compulsory reading list in the syllabus.
The exam will be constructed by specialists in the relevant field and will include analysis of at least two scenarios.
Each examinee will be examined in the presence of a panel of examiners consisting of practitioners in the relevant field.
The Nursing Division takes very seriously any attempt to compromise the integrity of the exam, starting from the identification stage at the entrance. Any of the following actions will be regarded as a violation of the code of conduct:
The Licensure Examination Department reserves the right to disqualify and/or summon an examinee for a hearing before the Nursing Division’s Exam Code of Conduct Committee in any case of suspected violation of the exam’s code of conduct.
The passing score is 65.
You may register as a clinical practitioner nurse in the Nursing Licensure Registry only if you receive a passing score.
The score for the nurse practitioner licensure examination will be sent by the Licensure Examination Department via SMS and email.
Examinees who receive a score between 55 and 64 may submit a written appeal. Additional details on how to appeal the exam are available in the Nurse Practitioner Licensure State Examination Procedure.
