The Nursing Division promotes and leads collaborations with international organizations in areas such as policy-making, research, database, professional development and work force, aiming to promote the nurses professionally, and enhance population health and healthcare systems in every country. These collaborations jointly create a global learning network, mutual consultation, knowledge distribution, skill development and nursing leadership empowerment. Additionally, the Nursing Division works internationally, in the media and social networks, promoting the branding of the profession.
International work takes place in cooperation with the Department of International Relations in the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health Management, cabinet offices, World Health Organization, International Council of Nurses, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and other organizations.
In the international arena a campaign of the ICN, the International Council of Nurses has been launched, for introducing the global activity of nurses, men and women, nursing students, staff nurses and public persons – for the sake of branding the profession.
The "Nursing Now" organization is calling the global network of more than 704 groups and over 30,000 participants in the "young leadership challenge" in 126 countries; to connect directly with policy-makers in their country, during the week of "World Health Day" as of 07.04.21, and heighten the importance of nurses in promoting population health, by investing in nurses, which are the foundation stone of recovery from the global COVID-19 pandemic.
